As the name suggests, shower diverters are used to divert the water flow between two water outlets. For example, this can be between a rain shower head and a handheld shower or between a shower and a bath spout.
Diverter shower mixers should be easy to function, durable, and aesthetically pleasing.
We offer a variety of smart diverter shower mixer designs that are operated by either rotating or pulling out a knob. They have been created to seamlessly match their corresponding shower mixers and come in a range of finishes that include brushed brass, brushed copper, brushed gunmetal, stainless steel, matte black, or white.
We range shower diverters with both practical and elegant designs and ones that include smart backplates, depending on your personal preference. All our shower diverters are built for indoor environments.
Please note that a shower diverter valve is not required for our full shower rail sets, as the diverter is already included on the rail. An alternative to choosing a shower diverter is to have two separate mixers — one for each shower outlet (for example, a rain shower and a handheld shower).
ABI Interiors’ warranty does not cover external use of your shower mixer diverter due to the coating being put under much harsher conditions and UV light. However, the structural integrity of the shower mixer with diverter would be fine.
We recommend regularly cleaning your shower mixer diverter with mild liquid detergent or soap and water. Don’t use cream cleansers or bleach as these substances are abrasive. Also, please avoid cleaning pads with abrasive surfaces as this may scratch the material.
